Haustidy Privacy Policy

Haustidy is committed to handling personal data in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and applicable guidance from the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
1. Legal Framework
This policy is governed by the NDPA 2023 and applicable NDPC regulations.
2. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach likely to create risk to user rights and freedoms, Haustidy will notify NDPC as required by law and notify affected users where the risk is high.
Notifications may be sent by email, in-app notice, or other appropriate channels.
3. Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Haustidy has designated a Data Protection Officer responsible for compliance, rights requests, and regulatory engagement.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Personal data is processed on one or more lawful bases:
- Consent
- Performance of a contract
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and security
- Protection of vital interests, where applicable
5. Automated Decision-Making & Fraud Monitoring
Haustidy may use automated systems to detect suspicious activity, flag fraud risk, and monitor unusual behavior. Where automated decisions significantly affect users, mechanisms for human review are available.
6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Where data is transferred outside Nigeria, Haustidy applies safeguards including contractual protections and provider security controls.
7. Data Minimization & Purpose Limitation
Haustidy collects only data necessary to enable transactions, improve security, and meet legal obligations.
8. Record of Processing Activities
Haustidy maintains internal processing records as required under NDPA.
9. Regulatory Complaints
If you believe your data rights were violated, you may contact NDPC. We recommend contacting Haustidy first so we can try to resolve concerns promptly.
