Haustidy Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your access to and use of Haustidy. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of the Platform

Haustidy is a managed platform for buying and selling pre-owned and open-box items. The service includes integrated logistics, escrow, post-delivery inspection window, and dispute handling workflows.

Haustidy does not take title to listed products or guarantee item condition.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding contracts. Information provided to Haustidy must be accurate and truthful.

3. User Accounts

Users are responsible for account confidentiality, activities performed under their account, and accuracy of profile information. Haustidy may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or false information.

4. Listings & Seller Responsibilities

Sellers warrant lawful ownership, lawful sale, non-counterfeit status, and accurate item descriptions. Once availability is confirmed, sellers must hand over the item for dispatch within two days through the approved logistics flow. If dispatch does not occur after follow-up, the order may be canceled and the buyer refunded. Processing fees are non-refundable.

6. Payments & Escrow

Payments are processed securely and held in escrow. Funds are released when the buyer confirms satisfactory receipt, when disputes are resolved, or when 48 hours pass after confirmed delivery with no complaint through the order confirmation form.

7. Returns & Inspection Period

Buyers have 48 hours from confirmed delivery to report issues using the order confirmation form. Returns are limited to cases where items are materially damaged, significantly not as described, or incorrectly delivered. Change-of-mind returns are not allowed.

This inspection period is a post-delivery protection flow and does not mean every item is pre-inspected before shipment.

Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.

8. Risk of Loss

If no issue is reported during the 48-hour inspection window, risk transfers to the buyer. Haustidy is not liable for delays caused by delivery operations or force-majeure events.

9. Repeat Offender Policy

Haustidy maintains zero tolerance for repeated abuse, including fraudulent claims, item-switching, prohibited listings, and repeated misrepresentation. Sanctions may include listing removal, suspension, termination, or referral to law enforcement.

10. KYC & Seller Verification

Haustidy may request identity documents, proof of ownership, and additional verification for suspicious activity, disputes, high-value transactions, or regulatory compliance.

11. Stolen Property & Investigations

Listings suspected of being stolen or unlawful may be removed immediately. Accounts may be suspended during investigation, and Haustidy may cooperate with authorities.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haustidy is not liable for losses from user-to-user transactions, counterfeit goods, shipping delays, or indirect damages. Total liability is capped at the disputed transaction amount.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haustidy and its personnel from claims, losses, and expenses arising from breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, IP infringement, or item misrepresentation.

14. Privacy

Your use of Haustidy is subject to our Privacy Policy.

15. Dispute Resolution

Haustidy may facilitate dispute resolution but is not obligated to arbitrate. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and unresolved disputes are subject to Nigerian courts.

16. Amendments

Haustidy may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates indicates acceptance.
